Operations professional shares the vision of a clean, green, beautiful Yellowstone County
The Board of Bright n’ Beautiful is happy to announce that Cindy Peters has
been appointed Executive Director of the award-winning Yellowstone County Keep America Beautiful affiliate.
Cindy is a career operations and project manager, bringing a wealth of professional expertise in strategic planning, program development, and team leadership to her new role. Mother of three and avid lover of all things outdoors, Cindy is also a committed community volunteer. Since relocating to Montana from Georgia with her husband Michael and their children five years ago, Cindy has been an enthusiastic friend to Bright n’ Beautiful, supporting its mission of promoting a clean and healthy environment by serving as a team leader during Great American Cleanup in Billings, a volunteer with Arbor Day educational activities, and as a dedicated member of the caretaking team at the Canyon Creek Battlefield
Memorial site in Molt.
“I am excited and honored to be joining this wonderful team,” said Cindy Peters. “It is a joy to continue this legacy of work that brings local organizations and individuals together to improve and beautify our community.”
Cindy succeeds retiring Joanie Tooley who has filled the role of director since January 2018. “Serving this inspiring community has been a privilege, a blessing, and so much fun!” said Joanie. “I know Bright n’ Beautiful will thrive under Cindy’s creative and caring leadership.”
As Executive Director, Cindy will manage the non-profit’s day-to-day operations and will work with Keep America Beautiful, the national community improvement organization, and its network of nearly seven hundred state and community-based affiliates. She will coordinate all local Bright n’ Beautiful volunteer activities throughout the year including the Great American Cleanup, Community Star Award, Keep Your High School Beautiful, Adopt-a-Spot, Arbor Days, Keep Canyon Creek Battlefield Memorial Beautiful and Yellowstone County Christmas Tree Recycling.
Welcome aboard, Cindy!
